Bad News About Widow Maker

Ok, so Widow Maker hasn’t been online in ages. Some of us Old Farts still remember him from LotB at least, and a few of us have the Good Fortune to be Friends with him. Even fewer of those Friends have the privilege of calling him Brother, as I do.

So, the Bad News is that he’s got Cancer. First told he had it back in March, of course originally it was all Doom and Gloom. “Make your final plans, you’ll be dead by the end of the week!” Why medical staff choose to go that route from the start is beyond me, but whatever.

A few days and LOTS of tests later, the news is MUCH better. Yes, it’s in his spine and kidneys, but the therapy they use has a Great success rate. He had to walk with a cane for a month or so, but then was able to get rid of that, and he seemed to be on the Winning side of it.

Unfortunately, back in Late November, he was given bad news. He told me on 3 DEC that someone read his PET scan, and said his cancer has actually spread throughout a lot of his body, and he now only has a few Months.

He WANTED me to post, “Tell them that the Widowmaker is falling.”

But **** that. He’s a fighter, and he’s NOT dead yet! True, things look Bad for him, not going to lie about that. But again, he’s a Fighter, and you NEVER give in to Cancer! You fight that **** until your last breath.

He asked ME to set up a Go Fund Me for him, but after looking into it and asking advice from someone that set one up a few months back, I pointed out to Shawn that it’s best if HE sets it up, or his son. I don’t need HIS banking information, after all. But I haven’t heard back from him about it, so I can’t post any Link, which is Why I’ve held off so long on posting about him.

Shawn has a BUNCH of BT minis he said he needs to sell now, but I don’t know how he plans to do it. He’s got some BD and I think all of the Unseen. He’s even got the FUGLY MWDA Jumping Spider “Radical Fury”, and a one-of-a-kind prototype that has elements of the Unseen Crusader to it. I don’t remember the name, but he said the sculptor had made it JUST as the whole “Unseen” thing came about, so it was never produced. Yeah, I’ve NO idea what the value of THAT would be.

Anyway, those of you that are the Praying kind, Please feel free to do that for him and his new family. I’ll be sure to post his GFM link once he gets one set up.

I Definitely will. Again, I delayed posting, thinking he'd get a GFM set up fairly quickly, but I've heard nothing from him since 6 DEC.
