Paper models : Seeking 3D model donations

Post by BLaaR » Fri Jul 23, 2010 7:33 am

Let me start off by saying some great artwork posted in this section. Some really talented people.

Ok. No onto business. At MECHWAR 3 Paper Craft community we are making paper models of mechs. They are mostly scaled at 1/40 since building smaller is difficult but yet doable by some who are very crafty.

Anyway. Currently couple of members are working on turning mechs from the game Mechwarrior 4 to build able models. Other members are creating from scratch and some are working on models donated.

If any artist wants to share some of his 3D models privately and would like to see it converted to paper kindly PM me or head over to Mechwar3.org.

The shared models by artists will always be kept privately and only the final buildable paper model will be released.

All the paper models are free to download.

Hope you guys like and maybe some have models to share.

Also it is easier to convert lower poly models to paper than higher poly so keep that in mind.

Thank you

Some examples of the paper models.

Outstanding work. If I had the room to put them up, I'd be proud to display these things.

All the models are free for download at the Mechwarrior 3 community forum.

Just download, get some paper , glue and scissors , printer ink and time and start building.

Hi guys.

Cantaris is close releasing the Awesome as a paper model. I would really like to build this in the colors of Adam Steiner (21 Somerset Strikers) since along the Axeman he piloted the Awesome.

I tried using the old cartoon series from way back but the quality of the video was just to bad to make out anything.

Does one have reference pictures or pictures of miniatures or samples of the scheme used by the 21 Somerset Strikers.

Doesn't have to be the Awesome itself but any reference pics will do.

Thanks if you guys can help.
