The FOIS had went to work on bring all of their Thugs in line with their standard design policy and refitted their Thug Line to produce the THG-11 series which includes the THG-12J and a modified THG-13W which drops the SRMs altogether in favor of a quartet of Medium Lasers while keeping the Targeting Computer which became the 11W, They introduced the latest of their newest variant in early 3070 which takes the 11W and strips out the Targeting Computer in favor of the C3 Master and to go along with it they started to release the C3 Slave refit kits that would replace either a Heat sink or reduce the size of the Missile rack.

There is a Mercenary refit that replaces the SRMs and a ER PPC in favor of a Clan PPC and twin ATM 3s with two tons of ammunition(normally the Standard and HE rounds) allowing the warrior a choice depending on the situation at hand.

Though only one of these Mercenary thugs are known to be created there has been rumors that the FOIS was involved with Clan Diamond Sharks in some way which was supplying them with some older weapons for use with their mechs being sold to some Mercenaries.

However this is just a rumor which none have been able to either confirm or deny these rumors.

Battle story:
The FOIS had finely completed their work on the THG-11 line and had produced a lance of THG-11s consisting of two THG-11Ws, THG-11J, and a THG-11A to show off their new Thugs to their buys which consisted of House Davion, Steiner, and Kurita when they was hit by the word of blake.

Once they manage to land their now battered dropships the enemy forces quickly unloaded and headed for the city and the factory where the testing grounds was located.

The City was heavily defended by the Blue Swords defensive branch also known as the shields as they specialized in protection while the Swords specialized in offensive combat.

The Shields kept the enemy units from even entering the city as they used several updated Heavy Missile Tanks(1) armed with fifteen long range light missile racks backed by several Light tanks such as the Trilobite PPC assault hover tanks.

The enemy was also being attacked from the air as several Hiei and Hiei (R)s did fast attack runs at well over 300 km/h making lighting strikes and fleeing to come back from different directions.

Mech support in the city was made up of mostly out of date designs that held out well against the enemy attackers and pushed them away from the city where they was torn to pieces by landmines and Artillery fire.

Same as the City most of the units protecting the factory was out of date but always well taken care of and giving the wob fighters a run for their money many times over.

A Battlehammer moved into range of an enemy Marauder armed with twin Snub nosed PPCs and Marcus chuckled as he moved his crosshairs over the 75 ton mech while backpedaling to easily stay out of the weapon’s range and fired both his Standard PPCs both nailing their mark and deprived the enemy machine of half of its main weapons.

Moving again he dodged a stream of auto cannon rounds from the UAC mounted in the right torso by moving just behind a building and shook his head as he knew that if anything major gets damaged or destroyed it could very well come out of his pay.

A Warhammer III and a Awesome which was clearly a refit came into the fight from behind him. “Marc mind if we cut in?” Jessica asked as she fired all three of her Standard PPCs at the enemy Marauder and all three scored hits against the enemy mech one cut a nasty scar into its club like lower arm and the other tore into the right leg and carved almost two tons of armor off of it.

“Oh yeah, sure now that I took care of half its primary weapons.” Marc said a little annoyed but was glad to see his friends was here.

“Wait aren’t you suppose to be protecting the testing grounds?” Marc asked.

“Nah the New thugs got it covered, we are just here to slow down or ether disable or destroy as many mechs as we can.” Jerry said.

“how nice..” Jes said.

“So how many have you managed to stop?” Jes asked.

“Um two Devas, three wasps, and locust.” Marc said.

“The bloody locust had a Light PPC and that caught me by surprise as it looked like a LCT-1V only to find out it had a Light PPC and twin Rocket launchers.” Marc added.

“So how much damage did it do?” Jes asked as she would tease him later about it.

“Just a few rockets hit the LPPC fell short and when it came in close I kicked the damn thing nailing right in the LPPC.” Marc said and Jes looked to his left where the Center torso mounted lppc was caved in and what was clear was he had kicked its head in and stomped on the weapon again which made her raise an eyebrow.

Jes was rocked by a stream of AC shells that shattered armor across the side torso.

“Damn, I should have known better than to get distracted.” Jes muttered as Mar’s Twin PPCs tore the other arm off while they was still out of range of the snub.

Marc moved his cross hairs over the cockpit of the enemy machine and fired his weapons into it and depriving the warrior within of his life……

The Thug was rocked by a gauss slug that hit just to the left of the cockpit shaking Jenna as she fought to stay upright.

She was only a test pilot and not an actual mech warrior but now she was thrust into battle by these blakest filth and quickly fired one of her Twin PPCs but had to be wary of her heat level as the last thing she wanted was her ammunition to cook off so she had been using the one – two – one pattern she learned from her father who had been a Mech warrior before retiring and teaching young warriors at a training facility on a different world.

She was just glad that she was piloting the 11A, though she sometimes wished she was in the one with the targeting computer than maybe she wouldn’t be missing so damn much.

Jacob moved his W next to her and fired both PPCs into the enemy Excalibur and both beams cracked like manmade lighting as they left the weapon and scored two direct hits on the torso and one in the head.

Though somehow the warrior survived but he figured the head was more or less just waiting to collapse on itself.

“That has got to be the luckiest bastard I have ever seen.” Jacob muttered.

“And here I thought that was reserved for the leader of the WIE after all he supposedly took a clan ppc to the head and managed to live.” Jenna said laughing.

“He makes up so much crap that it most likely never happened, after all the clan counterpart does 50% more damage so if he was hit in the head he would have been toast.” Jacob added.

“Can it you two, this is no time to make fun of a wannabe clanner.” Sam said as she moved the 11J behind the enemy mech and moved her arm up and grabbed the enemy mech’s head and crushing it killing he warrior within then pushed it over and fired two whips of manmade purple lighting into its back before adding the lasers to finish it off.

“Boy they don’t make them like they use to. Everything is all extra light engines making them so easy to disable.” Sam said as she moved out of sight using her Jump Jets to land behind the wall and crashing down on top of a King Crab and forced its legs to crumple under the weight of an 80 ton machine standing on its back and fired a PPC directly into the cockpit before moving off to the next target.

“Damn she is good.” Jacob said.

“She is a vet of the many clan wars as well as the civil war and has the habit of actually jumping on the backs of some machines.” Jenna said as she turned to face a
Blue Flame and both Jacob and Jenna opened fire scoring hits across its body and a lucky one destroyed the engine in the side torso.

In the end the thugs took on many enemies on their own and pushing back or destroying the enemy invaders while securing contracts with all three houses….

Side story:
In 3071 an unknown Mercenary unit raided several factories owned by the same weapons manufacture within the Federated Suns, Lyran Alliance, and the Draconis Combine. However they did not take anything just destroyed everything and leveled everything and when they attacked the factories they turned everything to slag right down to the computer chip. Weapons that had been destroyed was the mml, snubbed nose weapons, and so on.

With the loss of so much the company folded unable to make up for so much loss, and at the lead of their demise was the strange Thug with the Single Clan Extend Range Particle Projection Cannon and twin Advance Tactical Missile System that had replaced one of the Thug’s arm Mounted PPCs and SRM rack.
Some speculated that it had been Defiance Industries who had been the ones ordering the hits however this was just speculation as the Mercenary units had also targeted of the ID holdings as well but had been pushed back and ‘escapade’ just before aid came.
Others thought it could have been others and had framed IDs though nothing could be proven as the mercenaries have been away fighting the WOB….
