Commando Back in Action - BattleTech Quickstrike Demo/Game

Post by CJ_Keys » Sun Sep 12, 2010 10:17 pm

Where:
The Game Vault
6328 Five Mile Centre Park, Suite 412
Fredericksburg, VA

When:
Thursday September 16, 2010, 1300hrs

Quickstrike moves BattleTech from the map board to the table top in a easy to play and easy to learn format. All players are invited to this game to learn a new way to play an old game.

Addidionally if enough players attend we may discuss starting a BattleTech Quickstrike campaign using the Chaos Campaign system allowing large sized units in a reasonable amount of time.

All materials will be provided to players

Hey CJ!

LONG time no see!

Didya know that there is a HOBBY LOBBY opening in Fredericksburg??!
Store is due to open the first week of October.
And the store is HUGE! It's as big as a Target inside- Just HUGE.

We ought to roll in on that place & take it for BATTLETECH.

I guess we will find out when it opens.

My selling point for them to allow to game there: College students and former military like to GAME, not CRAFT.
Maybe promise some painting workshops, too.

:?: last I checked, weren't you selling GEICO insurance :?:

...anyway...

We DO need to get aholt of the store manager to make our request for game space and game time.
We just need to do it seperately.
Multiple requests instead of just 1.

No toes stepped on, was curious if you had become a Commando

Non CGL demo reps requests may be more well recieved then the CGL Guy coming in asking for space to run games. I might be wrong though, we really need to get a feel for the place before asking to run any games.....

I like the idea of players asking, I will introduce myself, let them know I am in the area and ask if they have tabletop gaming in store.... if they do will ask to run demos..... I think players asking though are more effective as they are customers and while I am a customer, I am a rep of the game I want to play at their store.
