A decent commander knows when to retreat,
A good commander doesn't need to.

Every now and then I get this urge to do some work.
Usually i sit down and wait till it passes.

In part 2.

Two more were by the dish. Behind the tent furthest away, the young recruit saw an armoured personnel carrier, armed with two heavy machine guns and a turret-mounted medium pulse laser. All the soldiers carried Magna laser rifles.

Found it!

Working as fast as I can, but I must tell you guys I'm pretty wrapped up in what is to be my first published book. I got it back from the puiblishers and need to re-write a pretty big chunk, so I have my hands full. It is mostly because english is not my native language that this re-write is necessary, and for a smaller part it is story-line related. And No, its not battletech. It is a bit related tho, since I have worked out a way to combine fantasy with sci-fi, and if it actually gets published you can expect elves and dwarves in giant fighting machines, jet-fighters and spacefleets.
I would like to thank all you guys for being so supportive in what started as a nice idea to bio one of my main characters, but what is growing out to be a book of its own. Please be patient some more, I will not forget you guys. I hope to have another installment up by the end of the weekend.
Thanx for your critisism and kind words, they are appreciated.

An update after a year or more... but heck, i'm still alive guys!!!

The book became a huge anti-climax. Published it, and actually sold a few (to friends and family), but that was about it... Translating it now to english and hoping the US and the UK provide a better market for me. A lot of stuff happened inbetween in my personal life too, and as such I lost most, if not all, of my Battletech work. Now that i'm finally settled again and plan on staying in one place for longer than a few months i've taken up my quill again, and I hope to be posting some more stuff here soon. After all you guys were my first fans! I owe you i think,

Thanx guys,

The hangar behind her was filled with technicians, most of them working on the blackened remains of an old VTR-9B Victor and a battered AWS-8Q Awesome.
If I'm not mistaken, the Awesome only became avalable after the FedCom got hold of clan tech during the clan invasion. That is about 30 odd years from where your story starts.

When will you be posting the next installment?
